Gordon quoted a very reasonable price to remove a tree, clear a massive plant in the back garden and did a total makeover of my front hedge which immediately got positive comments from my neighbours!

I would most definitely recommend Hedges and Stumps!

Gordon removed about 15 meters of old ivy covered hedge and dead tree stumps in preparation for a new hedge to be planted. He also re cut an existing quickthorn hedge with great precision. The garden was left in a very neat and tidy state and Gordon showed great respect for the emerging Spring bulbs growing in the grass. He is friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable about his area of horticulture, and with regard to health and safety. I recommend his services highly.

Gordon is such a lovely guy! Explained to me what he was going to do clearly & checked in with me at multiple intervals to check I was happy with what he was doing. Very chilled and easy to talk to about any queries etc. would definitely recommend!

Gordon and James are knowledgeable true professionals. Amazing work ethic, safety was always key . We had 80ft of massive overgrown hedge over 15ft High together with a rotten wooden fence held up by the hedge . Team Gordon set to work ,removing the hedge and fence . They worked hard all day with a happy smile . Nothing was too much trouble . Always making sure we were out of any danger when we watched the giant shredder at work . We would 100% recommend Hedges and Stumps to anyone needing tree surgeons. Once the hedge was disposed of , the ground was raked and all remaining bits of foliage removed , leaving the area ready for new fence.
I do need to buy a larger tea pot for the sequel....... Yes, we need them again for the next project in a few weeks time . ......

Great work by Gordon. Arrived on site on time, well prepared and very well organised. Talked thru the job again and the actual plan for the cutting of a very large thick Laurel hedge. Worked hard all day in a very meticulous manner. The end result was amazing and his attention to detail second to none as was his clearing up of the site, which was actually the back garden, driveway, and Road not a cutting left anywhere. Thank you again Gordon for being so helpful and for being ‘you.’! it’s goes without saying that I would certainly recommend you to anyone looking for a first class job from a 1st class chap.

Gordon clearly likes a challenge! We had two very large stumps to grind down (with limited access) and several others turned the job down before Gordon came over for a friendly chat about how he could do the job and the associated difficulties he might encounter. A few weeks later, the stumps are gone - even though it did take several days of hot intensive work. The work was profesionally done to the agreed timescale and budget and I have no hesitation in recommending Gordon for stump removal!

There is no stump that Gordon will not defeat! We have had several workers over the years to tackle stumps but Gordon by far has been the best. He is hard working, reliable & very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
